What to Bring & Wear
Participants should come in play
clothes with comfortable shoes. They should dress appropriate for the
weather (we spend a lot of time outdoors).
Participants should bring plenty of
fluids, including a water bottle, a morning snack, a lunch, and an afternoon
snack (refrigerators and microwaves are available). A backpack is a great
idea for change of clothes, taking projects home, and storing personal
items. Participants may bring handheld game systems. We use them as
reinforcement and social capital. We are not responsible for lost items.
Outings
Every Wednesday, participants of
The Asperger's Summer Program go on outings. These outings are to teach the
participants how to function in the community, and to have some recreational
experiences with their peers. Here is our outing schedule,
along with some important instructions to make our outings safe and fun.
Outing Instructions
On days that we will be swimming,
have your child come to The Program already wearing his/her swimsuit.
Please have your child come to the outings with sunblock already applied.
We will provide coolers for packed lunches. Kids can bring spending money
and/or recreational items. We are not responsible for lost or broken items.
Your child must be at the site and
ready to go by 9am. You are welcome to drop your
child off at the outing locations at 9:40. Outings are subject to change.

location is closer to you then the Program Site. After enrollment, discuss
this option with us.
Many families elect to carpool. You
